Chipmunk #6 down!

Recommended Posts

I decided to go out chipmunk hunting today w/ the pellet gun. I knew that they were going to show up where the corn was. I was feeling lucky today, so I set up about 35 yards away. I found the right magnification on my scope and settled in. It wasn't 5 minutes before a chipmunk showed up. I shot and missed. I did this two more times before moving down from the 35 yard shot and moved and close the distance to about 15 yards. The little chipper popped out, then another one and then a really big one. The big one started chasing the smaller ones away. I was thinking, ok, this older male feels lucky today too.. He never came back. The two younger ones came back and started feeding. I didn't shoot because I was waiting out for the larger one. That's just another way of QCM. wink.gifsmirk.gif

So they both stuffed their cheeks and left. I then said to myself, the next one that shows up isn't making it back to the hole with some feed. About 2 minutes later, one shows up. It wouldn't stop moving and running around. I made a soft kissing noise. He then froze in his tracks. I rested the crosshairs on the heart/lung area and shot. Down he went. No blood at all. The shot broke the spine and clipped the lung. Not any blood at all. Quick and easy death.
