Finally got some good groups.

As most of you know I bought a new Parker Phoenix a week or so ago. The first 2 days I shot it I was having trouble holding a pattern. Well I figured it out of Friday. When the guy at Bass Pro set it up for me he shortened my draw length from my old bow. On my old bow the local pro shop set me up on a 30 inch draw length. The 30 inch draw took some time to get used to but I became comfortable with it. Well come to find out the guy at the Pro shop was a moron and had me overdrawing by 2 inches. Finally got my anchor point down and now I am shooting 2 inch groups at 20 yards. Once I finally got it in I was shooting 4 arrows, 3 of them would have fit in a quarter. Man it felt great and I cannot wait til season on something opens.

P.S.- Was at my mother-in-law's and coming into the gate onto her landlord's land I saw 3 fat sows. shocked.gif I may get to do some hunting with the new bow soon after all. grin.gif

Re: Finally got some good groups.

Yep it never hurts to have a little luck. I am in no way claiming to be a skilled shooter but I felt like one after those 4 shots. I am telling you a good bow in the hands of a moderate ability shooter can make a world of difference in accuracy.
