I talked with my uncle yesterday and he recommended the old corral. It's probably the easiest to get to, too. After you turn onto Union Valley Road, BTW the road number is 20,000. Just keep going straight. Griz, that "Y" I told you to look for, take a right going up the mountain instead of left down the mountain. You'll cross a decent sized creek and we will camp right there unless there's already a camp set up. Most camps are gone by this Sunday so we should be OK. I think Griz is going up Thursday. If possible I might drive up there with him but I've got to be back at work to make sure our installation is working Friday morning. I should be able to take off at noon to head up there. My dad has a bunch of camping stuff he has offered to give me on several occasions, but I haven't been camping in years. He has a little gas grill, lanterns, and I don't know what all!! I will bring a little ONE MAN tent, just in case I really get scared by the movie, I can sleep by myself. Also need to remember my sleeping bag. Wouldn't want to have to throw griz out of his own sleeping bag What about food?? Only a week away!!!! Oh yeah, ya'll might want to bring your doe estrous!! I hope at least someone gets a deer!! I would bring like your sleeping bag, a cot if you want and a lantern, a chair. I'm bringing a coleman stove (for Ryan the cook ) lantern, a 8x10 tent and a cot. So I can sleep comfee... You will be on the West side of our camp, though. I'm bringing a latern, sleeping bag, misc. food and beverages, and maybe a small camper. If we need something we can always drive to the store. Take Sallisaw/Poteau exit. Stay on US 59 towards Poteau. On the outskirts of Poteau, you’ll need to take a left. Just follow US 59 signs. About 10 miles outside of Heavener there will be turn to your right onto Hwy 259. After you get on 259 it’s a straight shot to Broken Bow. At the second light in Broken Bow(by McCurtain County National Bank) take a left. Go until you pass The Wagon Wheel nightclub on the right. So it looks like we will be pulling out Friday morning.... Me and Mike is going to meet Kevin in Broken Bow at Wal-Mart around 12 or 12:30..... I have a cousin that lives in Broken Bow that hunts also. He's barber there and a heck of a good guy. Any way I invited him to join us. I hope this will be alright with everyone.... From Wal-mart we will head to the camping area. I am going to have paper plates painted yellow. So for all of you that is coming. Follow the yellow paper plates.... Remember the key word here is Yellow Paper Plates... I hoping to get there early eneough so we can get camp set up and do so scouting. I would like to, maybe get in an evening hunt. But if not. There's always Sat. morning.... Looking forward to this trip..... I sure hope more will come and I will see ya next week end..... Oh one more thing.....
