huntn4bucks
Re: Fun with my waterdog (pics). [ QUOTE ] nice looking dog whats his/her name???? [/ QUOTE ] Her registered name is Faile Bashere. The name comes from The Wheel of Time series of books written by Robert Jordan. It means "falcon". The actual pronunciation is Fah-EEL bah-SHEER but we pronounce it like Fay-LEE because it's easier to say. She will be 1 year 5 months old next month and she made her very first solo hunt retrieve when she was just 10 months old. I get so much enjoyment out of watching her work...she's my bud! Covehnter
Re: Fun with my waterdog (pics). Yeah, already started looking for the residental geese concentration. You ever found any bw teal on the lake in the early season?
huntn4bucks
Re: Fun with my waterdog (pics). I usually see quite a few bw teal on the lake during the early season but to be quite honest...I've never really tried to hunt them on the lake. Most of my early teal season is hunted over flooded agriculture fields that were planted for the sole purpose of waterfowl.
Covehnter
Re: Fun with my waterdog (pics). Glad you've got the Hook Up!! Thought about trying to find a concentration of the little blue darts for the opener, is it as crowded as the regular season?
huntn4bucks
Re: Fun with my waterdog (pics). I really can't say how crowded it is during the early season because I'm not out there much. I wouldn't think it would be as crowded as the regular season. Let me know if you make it out this way and we'll see if we can find some to shoot at. If you find some geese, I would love to come out and hunt with you. If I find some, I'll let you know as well.
Covehnter
Re: Fun with my waterdog (pics). Yeah sure thing, i would normally be able to give a 'sure thing' for geese but this season's gotta be a head scratcher i think due to my farming buddy getting a new cotton picker and planting ALL cotton this year. Thats why i'm considering heading that way for the darts. But i'm sure i'll be huntin' something i've found come September and dadgum it were going to hunt waterfowl together this season i dont care if its in a mudhole! Been talkin' bout it fer too long now!!
