Swamphunter
Two questions - 1. Does anyone know where I can send a firearm for a quality re-bluing job in matte finish for a Rem model 700? 2. Does anyone know Remingtons email address so I can email them and ask them where to have it done? Thanks
AJ
Re: Matte finish - rebluing? Hey Swamper you have a few options: 1. a) You can have a satin finish blueing where they bead blast the metal prior to blueing. (ok protection) b) You can have the metal parkerized, which is the typical flat black. (better protection) c) You can have a bake on finish applied. (best protection) Here are a few of the big places that do the job. Any of these will be better than factory quality. You can check their prices and services at www.gandermountain.com.
