GWSmith
My father has one I believe he bought from Cabelas. We have used it for everything from hauling out deer to bringing in and out large ladder treestands! It has hard tires with the flat surface on them so you never have to worry about getting a flat. You can remove some pins and it folds into a much smaller size. It has pins that can be removed to take off the axle and tires. It has a removable, flexible, nylon/canvas, washable sling area where you put the game you take. I would reccomend getting something like that and making sure you get enough bungy cords to strap down anything your bringing back home! P.S. If you think you will encounter any mud/water whatsoever...bring something to cover your deer or gear with...without any bumpers the tires sling mud! Found it... wtnhunt
Re: Game Cart/Hauler Welcome to the forums. Got some old junk wheelchairs at work I am supposed to chuck, think I might try to build something like that out of one of em.
AJ
Re: Game Cart/Hauler Yep, welcome to the group. I also have the Cabela's Super Mag Hauler. I bought mine last summer and I am kicking myself for not buying it sooner. It is great for getting deer out of the woods. I also used it to haul minerals around the property. Here is my buck last year on the buggy.
Hoosierbuck
Re: Game Cart/Hauler I got that same cart, and it's the bomb for flat ground, but a pill to drag up a hill. The other negative is that it is big and heavy (nearly 50 lbs.) to store/transport. If I was to do it again I would go with the smaller, lighter aluminum model they have that folds down enough to throw IN the truck, rather than having to chain this one to the bed. The design of this one is superior, as the weight is between the wheels, not above them=greater lateral stability. Also, the weight is centered on the axle=no load on your arms if you balance it right. The sling is nice, too since it keeps legs from poking through and diggging in the ground. It does require rope or bungees to hold the critter from sliding off or having a leg poke into the spokes of the wheel. HB
AaronS
Re: Game Cart/Hauler I also have the same cart, but haven't used it yet. I'm thinking about adding bicycle caliper style brakes for our southern Indiana hills.
