Re: Troubles With Flies

If you are looking at chemicals or a pest control company such as terminix, foggers and flybaits can work well at a fraction of the cost terminix will charge you. Permethrin is a good insecticide, pretty well kills most any insects out there including termites. Think the propane foggers use a pyrethin that does not have much residual, but will kill the flies and control an area for a short time.

Re: Troubles With Flies

So far the cheapest method is giving my kids a swatter and telling them to go to work. I might have to offer a bounty to them.

Dug around and found 2 fly strips, hung one in the garage and one in the alcove by the front door.

I also got some Permerthrin spray and drenched the house and garage pretty good. We'll see if that does the trick.

Re: Troubles With Flies

Go to a store that has horse supplies. There is a fly trap, kind of like a bottle, that attracts flies (regular house flies or any flies I think) and they get stuck in the bottle. We got one and it worked. I think they are relatively not too expensive. Or use the sticky fly tapes which are cheap.
