Strut10
Ahhhh.................the smell!!! Finally got my soil prep done today for my food plot. I got most of the field mowed Thursday nite. Finished mowing this morning, then plowed, then disked. We're ready for seed now. Sounds like we may get some rain early this week. Probably do my sowing Monday morning. Tominator
Re: Diesel smoke & dust Whatcha planting Don? I'd be afraid to plant anything now. Just read an article in the paper that said the decreasing El Nino will produce a drier than normal summer. We're 2 inches behind for June. Make sure you get a pic of that Oliver (a little closer this time please) when you take pictures.
Strut10
Re: Diesel smoke & dust I've got a 30 lb. sack of brassica seed waiting to be spun on. I don't think even El Nino can make west PA too dry to grow stuff. Sorry Tominator. No Oliver pics this year. I was in a hurry to get this done. I didn't feel like wrestling Ollie. So it was all IH power today.

Rhino
Re: Diesel smoke & dust Gee is it that time for you already Strut? I was out cutting trees out of our roads this weekend while my buddy was spraying Roundup with the JD to try to kill the dang johnson grass coming up in a few of our food plots. Too dry to break up soil down here right now but we did some chisel plowing about 3 weeks ago.

Strut10
Re: Diesel smoke & dust [ QUOTE ] What kind of IH? [/ QUOTE ] A real nice (low hours) 584. It's an unbelievable joy to run!! You can spend the whole day on it and not feel like it. Also using an IH 10' transport disc and an IH plow with 3 14" boards. Nice setup for food plottin'.
