Tominator
Re: how many people use field dressing gloves? Nope. If I play it right, I get my deer gutted by my buddy. Actually, Ohiobucks' buddy Woody is the most efficient deer gutter I've ever seen. The last deer I shot was on his property, as I went back to the truck to get out of my camo, Woody saw that I was in my work clothes so he gutted the deer I shot. I guess he was afraid I'd get blood on my clothes, anyway, he whips out this stupid little $2 exacto knife, cuts the anus, slits it stem to stern, reaches inside up to the neck, grabs ahold and rips it all out. I swear to God that deer was gutted in about 3 minutes, maybe less. I learned something that day. Always wear your work clothes...... j/k it doesn't take an expensive knife, and it doesn't have to be messy.

tedicast
Re: how many people use field dressing gloves? Until this past year I always did it bare handed. This past year I threw a couple pairs of latex gloves in my pack ans used them on the 2 deer I gutted. I still have to take off my jacket, and roll up my sleaves as the gloes aren't long. Guest Rod
Re: how many people use field dressing gloves? I always use the shoulder length gloves, with disposable latex gloves on my hands. Never did years ago but now with CWD and everything else, it's pretty cheap insurance.

Guest Xen
Re: how many people use field dressing gloves? why would you use gloves?? you wouldn't really get to lick your fingers off when you're done. i'd like to point out that kfc totally ripped off the "finger lickin' good" phrase from a deer hunter
oo_buck
Re: how many people use field dressing gloves? I always wear gloves when gutting... Bow Hunter Derek
Re: how many people use field dressing gloves? Sometimes and sometimes not. I usually carry a couple pairs of latex gloves. Just because if there is no water available, it makes clean up easier. I hate jumping in the truck and grabbing the steering wheel with blood all over my hands.
