HEAVIER_THAN_STEEL
Re: how many people use field dressing gloves? I persoally dont because it gets really cold out and i stuck my hands in that hot blood keeps them warm while im field dressing, and back in the day they didnt have no gloves to use so i do it just like the old timers. Rhino
Re: how many people use field dressing gloves? Not me. During bow season down here it's too hot to worry about putting those things on. I tried once but when you start sweating in those things they slip and slide around a lot.

Hoosierbuck
Re: how many people use field dressing gloves? try nitrile, you'll never wear latex again. I like them because it keeps my hands dry, and they don't get cold and numb that way. Hate to handle a knife with numb hands. I also carry a few garbage bag twist ties to tie off the anus and urethra so there's no spilling, and to attach my temporary tag. I put the gloves and ties in a bread sack to use for garbage or heart/liver transport. Rolled up it takes up the room in my fanny pack I would use for a celebratory cigar if I could bring myself to tolerate them. HB
David_218
Re: how many people use field dressing gloves? [ QUOTE ] why would you use gloves?? you wouldn't really get to lick your fingers off when you're done. i'd like to point out that kfc totally ripped off the "finger lickin' good" phrase from a deer hunter [/ QUOTE ] One VERY GOOD reason to wear field dressing gloves: HEPATITIS !! Other GOOD REASON Lymes Disease and general infections!!!

Smitteken
Re: how many people use field dressing gloves? NO...If they were to work anyway I'm always armpit deep anyhow, I'd need a whole tyvek suit. I'm not about finesse. I wear nitrile gloves enough at work I'm not wearing them in my leisure. billygoat
Re: how many people use field dressing gloves? I have for about the last four years... by nature of my profession it's rather important... so a pair of shoulder length ai gloves and a pair of surgical gloves over them! Nice tight fit and you still have full function of your hands....
Guest psejake16
Re: how many people use field dressing gloves? I use my barehands. I dont mind the cold days either. After I kill a deer in the cold the temperature feels like it goes up 80 degrees.
VTbowman
Re: how many people use field dressing gloves? I do most of my "field" dressing at home since its real close to where I hunt.
