Strut10
Got my brassica seed spun on the foodplot tonite. Then (since I don't have a culti-packer) I set the disc straight and ran the seed in. TALK ABOUT DUST!!!!!!!! There was absolutely no breeze and the dust just hung thick. I had to wait minutes between passes just so I could see where to go next. I'll be blowing my nose brown for days!! Now...........let it rain!!
maddhunter
Re: DUST & DUST & diesel smoke Strut, I hope you didn't get your seed too deep with the disc? A friend of mine did the same thing and got them too deep and they never came up. I guess they rotted before they could sprout.

I just keep the angle off the discs and keep my speed moderate. I also keep the lift axle on the disc part way down so it doesn't run too deep. I should be in good shape. Fly...........The IH always runs good for us. It's a joy to farm on that machine!! Good luck spiffin' up the C!!
