JimPic
Re: kennel question?? A buddy of mine used 12"x12" patio pavers-laid them over a sand base.Worked pretty good and the pavers didn't cost too much.
preacherman
Re: kennel question?? I used what I call "deck material"..........i called them "treated deck boards", they were 12 inches wide and you could buy them either 8, 10 or 12 foot long. If you build your kennel off the ground, your dogs are less likely to get fleas and ticks on them. When I put them down, I left a little space between the boards so that the waste (doggie poo) could go through when I washed it out. About once a year I would treat it with diesel fuel to clean the kennel. Worked wonders for my labs.

wtnhunt
Re: kennel question?? Have seen some kennels where a thick rubber mat like a truck bed mat was used. Makes for easy washouts I guess.

[ QUOTE ] Diesel fuel, now, thats new to me, don't it stink forever ? too_ [/ QUOTE ] From the wear and tear of the weather it goes away after a while, but it does help keep parasites down, especially when you are switching dogs out of your kennel. billygoat
Re: kennel question?? Find a hog farmer that has gone out of business... there is flooring that is steel w/ a rubber coating (has holes in it for draining)... you also might be able to order it through your local farm supply company.
