Hillbilly
I'll be going to Gander Mountain in Terra Haute, Indiana pretty soon. How are the prices at Gander Mountain? How's the selection there?? Does Gander Mountain carry more stuff than other places??? Thanks

6sixpoint_nobrows
Re: Gander Mountain hmmm....all i know is St.Louis bass pro is amazing...lol...and i live about 30 minutes from peoria Il, and there is a gander mountain there and i love it. but im very fortunate to have so many hunting shops near by! i have 6 hunting stores that i can choose from. but i really like gander mountian but they are differant in each state
snapper
Re: Gander Mountain I've been to a few Gander Mt. stores and have yet to see one bigger than any Bass Pro or Cabelas. They are great stores with pretty good prices!
AJ
Re: Gander Mountain Gander Mt is ok as long as you have never been to a Cabelas. If you have been to a Cabelas its a disapointment. It is still better than Dicks though. I agree with Snapper, Cabelas and Bass Pro are the biggest. Prices were ok not great.
HarvDog
Re: Gander Mountain I haven't been to the Gander Mountain near me but have been to Dicks and BassPro. I'm looking forward to checking it out.
WNY_Whitetailer
Re: Gander Mountain To my wife's dismay there is a Gander Mtn about 2 miles from my house in Tonawanda NY...The prices are average...Nothing to write home about. The selection is pretty good especially when it comes to long guns. The handgun selection is not all that great but it isn't specifically a handgun store. I do enjoy getting gift cards from there as I can go in the store without my wife riding me too much.
Widowmaker
Re: Gander Mountain WE HAVE ONE THAT I LIKE TO GO TO UP HERE IN INDY. LOVE TO GO THERE, BUT IS NOT AS GOOD AS BASS PRO OR CABELA'S( WHICH WE DON'T HAVE), BUT MUCH BETTER THAN DICK'S. MY OPINION, DICK'S SPORTING GOODS IS WORTHLESS!! too_pointer
Re: Gander Mountain We have a Gander about 50 miles from here, I'm just not impressed with it at all. Very few things I thought were good priced as compared to Cabela's. Don't get me wrong, if its all you got, then spend lots of $$$ LOL too_
otdrzmn04
Re: Gander Mountain ive been to the terre haute Gander Mountain. they have a fairly good selection of bowhunting stuff and a large selection of guns. pricewise its comparable to most catalogs. Have fun
Tominator
Re: Gander Mountain We have one here in central Ohio. They're not as big as a Bass Pro or Cabelas, but their selection isn't bad, and their prices are fair I think.
Guest Finn
Re: Gander Mountain I think you'll enjoy it. It's not as big as Bass Pro or Cabelas, but I've had great customer service at the one by me. I like them better than the big 2 above because you can handle the long guns without bothering a salesman or taking a number and waiting forever. Get on their email list for sale flyers. Guest cowpoke
Re: Gander Mountain There is quite a bit of variation between Gander Mtn stores in both what they have in the store and pricing. The closer they are to a competitor, the better the pricing, generally speaking. Generally speaking they aren't too bad. As mentioned earlier... Cabelas and Bass Pro are both much bigger as far as waht they carry, so is Scheels if you have one of those near by.

Strut10
Re: Gander Mountain [ QUOTE ] Gander Mt is ok as long as you have never been to a Cabelas. If you have been to a Cabelas its a disapointment. [/ QUOTE ] Size-wise, there is no comparison. I've been to Gander Mt. 3 or 4 times and have yet to buy anything. Selection is O.K. Employees are clueless (at my local store). And prices are nothing special at all.
Adjam5
Re: Gander Mountain WE have a Gander Mtn in Middletown,NY and it prices are right on as if you ordered out of Cabelas. The only plus is there is no shipping, but there is tax. The selection they have is great, and many knoledgeable people work there. Atleast at the store I go to. I have coupon for Gander MTN, e mail me and I'll forward it to you([email protected]). You get 5% off for each kid you bring into the store at check out!!! up to 20%. Mach1
Re: Gander Mountain The new GM in Terre Haute is 30 minutes from my hometown and the BPS in STL is 45 minutes from where I live now. I can't lose at either home I'm at. So far no complaints about the Terre Haute GM. I got a 40th anniversary Ruger 10/22 for my b-day from there and a extra 10-round clip and 500 round brick were included. Quite a bit of our money has been spent at both places.
