Squirrelhunter91 Posted June 29, 2005 Report Share Posted June 29, 2005 Folks, please, I ask you to pray for my mom. She is having surgery done on her throat next Tuesday, the fifth of July. She has Zenkers Diverticulitus. It's just a fancy word for having a pocket in your throat that complicates the swallowing process. It catches food that she swallows and gets stuck in there until her body coughs it out. This is an uncommon disease for young people. My mom is 40 years old, but that is considered young when compared to an 80 year old where it is more common. They have to open up her throat and remove the pocket. I am not going to be around when they do the surgery because I leave for sleepaway camp this weekend on Sunday for 2 weeks( July 3rd - July 16th ). My mom will not be able to speak for a week or so after the surgery. I am praying that it all goes over ok. Please folks, please pray for my mother, Dawn.
