Sheffield for Cameron & Cairo?

Re: Sheffield for Cameron & Cairo?

Sheffield doesn't have a no trade clause and he said that if he gets sent somewhere where he didn't sign to, things are going to have to be changed in his contract. He means that he took less money to play for NY. And if he goes somewhere else, he wants more money. If he doesn't get it, his solution is retirement.

Re: Sheffield for Cameron & Cairo?

If we trade Sheff we better get a good pitcher. I personal don't care for him so it won't bother me to see him go. He's a great player but I don't like him. I'll leave it at that. We need pitching bad though and need to do something about it soon. I heard rumors of the Yankees trying to get Kotsay. A good center fielder would be nice too. We'll see what happens.

Re: Sheffield for Cameron & Cairo?

That sounds a little more reasonable to me. The yanks need pitching bad.

I really think the Yankees could be in trouble in the next couple of years. Everybody is getting old, they dont hardly have squat in the minors because they have traded it all away, and they only have a few tradable guys because nobody wants to pay the huge contracts most of those guys make. It's going to be interesting to see what happens with them in the next few weeks.

Yeah, DSGB, I think that's why the Marlins rumor was started.

If anyone actually thinks that the Yankees "weren't" shopping Sheffy, you're crazy. Steinbrenner would trade his sister to make his team better. Sheffield will go if the price, team, and conditions are right.
