Guest Andrea
Re: Look what I found My catalpa worms have all gone under ground already. ( We say "ca-tobbler" worms ) I don't like touching them cause they are VERY sticky. And the old timers around here will actually tell you to turn your worm INSIDE OUT before you put it on the hook. WHATEVER!! They are excellent bait though. Catfish eat them, so does everything else with fins.
DSGB
Re: Look what I found Most around here say Catawba. They say to bite the heads off and turn 'em inside out. I prefer to cut 'em in half. How to fish with catalpa worms Go Fishing
ILSNIPER1
Re: Look what I found Yep, Catalpa worms, when/if we can ever find them we usually put them in a container w/some Catalpa leaves (to keep them alive). We have always used the "turn them inside out" method, seems to work the best. Have any of you ever used the "Catalpa Worm Past" you can buy in the plastic tube? It don't work nearly as well as the real thing! Later, Phil B.
