Stinger-Hunter
I have a bean field (used to be corn) that I hunt around, but there haven't been deer there for a week or so. I'm thinking they switched to a corn field about a half mile away. Yesterday I saw three deer traveling back from an area they are usually going to. They were walking away from the corn field in the morning. I'm confused cause I haven't seen them in the beans for a week.

MUDRUNNER
Re: Are the deer switching to corn now? Stinger-Hunter
Re: Are the deer switching to corn now? I'm guessing that Mudrunner is right. I bet they are getting ready for the winter and fattening up on corn. I'll have to change my location a little bit, I guess.

wtnhunt
Re: Are the deer switching to corn now? Only corn left for the deer to eat around here would have to be from feeders or bait piles, hunting bait here is not legal. No corn left in any fields around here. They were hitting the acorns pretty hard last week.
Stinger-Hunter
Re: Are the deer switching to corn now? I went for a little scouting trip in my car last night to see if they were headed to the corn or the beans. I saw 3 deer headed to the corn but they were feeding in a person's yard. I think it was the 3 deer I saw on Sunday. I also went to an old dirt road that parallels some train tracks that lead to a huge corn field and there were some awesome tracks. I rechecked the beans and still no deer My mind is made up. They switched to corn already.
