CDubWSR
i leave the sixth to go to sturgeon bay, wisconsin to my grandmothers summer house with her. its the first time i have ever gotten to go. the house is on the water and i have access some of the best smallmouth waters in the nation. i have never caught a smallmouth bigger than about 12 inches and they put up a fight, i cant wait to get into some 3 or 4 pounders up there. i think my grandmom is even going to treat me to a full day on the water with a guide seeing as how she takes my other cousins salmon fishing, but i would much rather catch big smallies all day. OH I CANT WAIT!!!

bulldawg
Re: Smallmouth Heaven!!! The smallmouth fishing is excellent up there. You will occasionally run into a 6# + fish, from what I hear from some who have fished there. Good luck, and have fun.

Guest MattA311
Re: Smallmouth Heaven!!! Those are some good smallmouth waters... not some of the best in the nation... but still **** good anyway. I have fished those waters and Green Bay north of there extensively since a kid. The best smallmouth waters in the midwest still exist in upper michigans sylvania wilderness area... every plastic worm in the water produces a 16-20 inch fish... amazing fishing. Sturgeon Bay is still killer though.
