with Bass Pro Shops as the primary sponsor in the Cup series, in 2006.

Yep...we all can support that sponsorship! wink.gif

On a different note...speaking of sponsor's, there is something that has been bothering me for awhile and has been brought back to my attention recently. Doesn't Pepsi support anti hunting orgs? Why or how (if thats true) could a hunter support a driver who uses that sponsor (ie Jeff Gordon)?

The reason I've been pondering this is because of Jimmy Johnson and the Levi's commercials. We do know Levi Struss (sp) supports anti hunting orgs...so how can any "redneck" hunter cheer him on to victory lane when he is helping fight angisnt something we all love? confused.gif

Excellent points Snap. I didn't think much about that about Gordon, but did think it when I saw JJ in the Soap Box Derby commercial. Just a couple more reasons for me I guess. grin.gifwink.gif I quit buying Levi's a while back. All Wranglers (DEI sponsor), Carhartt and Dickies for me now. cool.gif

You know.......

Most likely 50% of the items in your house have sometype of money that rolls out to an anti hunting organization.

[/ QUOTE ]Probably a little far fetched, but a good point. The other side of that is you don't know where that "50 %" is. But when you do know who and what is supporting anti-hunting........as a hunter you don't support it.

I don't know about 50%, but how many of those do you "know" is anit before you buy? wink.gif I can see where someone buys something but didn't know that they were anti (ie a small company). But knowing that they are anti (big company...not too many bigger than Pepsi and Levi) before purchasing...

If its a company that I don't know anything about them giving to anti's...then thats hard to stop! However, I will not (can not) support a company that directly gives money to orgs. that is trying to put an end to my way of life. I no longer use ATT for anything, quit drinking Pepsi products along time ago, haven't bought a pair of Levi's for years, and I haven't stepped foot in a K-mart store for many years as well.

If I know of a company that supports these anti orgs. I will NOT give them a cent. Just curious how Gordon and Johnson fans felt about their fav. driver supporting anti-hunting orgs?
