Re: The Block or 3-D Deer Target

I have one of the original Blocks that i bought at the local archery pro shop. I like it for the portability and for making sure that the bow is sighted in.

I have had one of McKenzie's Tuff 24's before and found it to be an excellent target as well. It will stop any broadhead and take quite a number of hits in the vital zone before your forced to turn the target around and shoot the outside 4 spots.

If you continue to shoot the middle on the side that has the front quarter of a deer on it....you'll become very good at finding your arrows that have slid under grass on the other side of the target tongue.gifgrin.gif

I prefer the 3-D target simply because of the confidence factor. No white dot to focus on, just that sweet spot behind the shoulder. I also like to take quatering away shots on it and figure out exactly where the arrow would exit.

I shoot a block...bc I can keep it in the back of my truck (I have a coveing and a lock) this works great while I am at school. However, I am going to buy a 3d for home to shoot from a treestand. A combination is the best.

Re: The Block or 3-D Deer Target

I just bought the BLOCK 4x4, which has the deer silouhette from the front legs almost to the back legs. It is ok, but I am seriuosly thinking of getting a 3-D target also, I just don't like the vital section on the Block 4x4
