Guest stsi36
i have seen the new lumenocks on tv and have been wondering if they are worth the buy When my bow sings, my arrow zings, and my broadhead stings...it's just the wisper of death
Guest tyshe17
Re: lumenocks they do what they say. one day when the power was out at the store we shot some and they look like a quarter flying down range. However, they are $10 a piece, you cant replace the battery, and it weights in over 30 grains...reg nocks are about 8. If you want to see your arrow in flight the only 2 ways I know are white wrap, or these guys
tedicast
Re: lumenocks My arrows are fletched 2 white, 1 orange, with an orange nock. My hunting arrows have white and orange wraps. When I have trouble seeing those, it's definately time to make an appointment with the eye Dr....lol
AJ
Re: lumenocks I shot them last year. I keep 2 of them in my quiver for first light or last light shots. They are sweet for seeing what the arrow is doing in flight also.

[/ QUOTE ] I have a buddy, who's a pretty good archer, who swears by them and says the added weight did not affect his arrow flight at all. He shoots an AR 34 @ about 65#
Guest buckfever7
Re: lumenocks The Tracer nocks are awesome. You can change the battery in them so you get more use out of them.

[/ QUOTE ] Not out to 40 yards. I have used them along with normal nocks and the arrows still shot in the group at distances out to 40. I don't put a lot of faith in FOC stats. I shoot Quick Spins and if the arrow is spinning fast enough, it does not mater. Stabilized is stabilized.

I was just figuring, I'm shooting a 387 grain arrow. so adding 22 grains works out to almost a 6% increase in weight. I thought that would have some effect. I know that throught the chrono, my arrows with wraps that weight 10 grains are 4 to 5 fps slower than my unwrapped arrows. So knowing that I kinda figures there would be some trajectory deviation with a 22 grain increase.
AJ
Re: lumenocks The funny thing about trajectory is the heavier arrow will drop less at longer distances. It will maintain its velocity better than the faster but lighter arrow. I could care less about shooting X-rings. I shoot for lungs. If the arrow is an inch or two off the mark, its still in the lungs. This is still a dead deer. Why not spend $10 and try one out and see if you like it? The worst case scenario is you are out $10. Tell ya what, I'll buy it from you if you don't like it.
hutchies
Re: lumenocks I bought a four pack off a guy on archerytalk.com and they seem to work great. For seeing arrow flight I don't think white wraps and vains even compare.
TreeWalker
Re: lumenocks There was a fellow member that had pics of them in flight, and he posted them down in the Photography room.......impressive...
Guest Scrape Maker
Re: lumenocks I shot the Lumes last year and loved them.I made a shot on a 130 class ten point About 30 mins before dark and thought i made a good shot. The arrow didnot thru.I got down and could not find blood so i went home and got a buddy to go help me look for him.We found a few drops of blood but not a good trail. It was about 65 degrees that night so i didn't want to leave him in the woods so we spead out and just started walking.I top a ridge and seen the nock from about 100 yds away.I might not have found him if it wasn't for the Lumenock. I can't tell any change in the way my arrows fly. WELL WORTH THE 10 DOLLARS A POP!!!!!!!!!!!
