Re: Parts is parts....

There is an advisory about eating deer liver in Connecticut, so I just leave everything for the scavengers. My grandmother used to make Jellied Pigsfeet when I was a kid...It was awesome. It was in a very garlicy( is that a word?) clear jelly. After she dies when we were cleaning out her place, I spent hours going through her old cookbooks looking for the recipe, but I never found it! frown.gif

My G-Maw use to put roster feet in her soupes for flavor. Couldnt tell that they were in there unless you saw them. Got one in my spone one time and never ate any of her soup ever again. yuck

Heart and liver both very good. Tongue good, pickled pigs feet good. Mountain oysters very good. Alligator ok. Cat a little stringy. Dog makes a mighty fine meal. Won't even think about snake.

All that and you won't even think about snake? Weird! crazy.gif

How do you cook the heart? Fry it??? I am having a hard time picturing this. I can't eat liver. Too grainy for me. Makes great bait though. grin.gif
