Strut10
Just got done installing a Hogue Monogrip on my S/S SB. WOW!! I can't believe I waited (and was too cheap) to put this on. I think it cost a whopping $12.99!! Makes the hand fuller in the grip and fills in that nasty-a** place at the back of the trigger guard...........the place that takes a hunk of flesh out of your hand every time you light a 300-grainer off!! AJ
Re: My S/S Super Blackhawk is happy!!! Yep, those rubber grips don't look all that special but they make a world of difference in the shooting characteristics of the gun.
hangunnr
Re: My S/S Super Blackhawk is happy!!! That ought to feel like a completely new gun now. Be careful shooting alot of heavy loads. The added grip you'll have can give you wrist problems now that the gun can't rotate in your hand. hangunnr
WNY_Whitetailer
Re: My S/S Super Blackhawk is happy!!! That's the same grip I have on my SS Super Blackhawk Hunter...I love it. Now the gun does not slip around in my hand when I am wearing gloves...

WABS
Re: My S/S Super Blackhawk is happy!!! OK I've got a question. A few months ago I purchased a New Model Blackhawk (see picture) I'm interested in putting a Hogue monogrip on this pistol but when I contacted MidwayUSA about what the proper grip was for this pistol (sent them a description and a picture) I got this response back. Thank you for your recent email. I found a product that fits your description. Hogue Monogrip Rubber Grips Ruger Super Blackhawk Black, product number 287993 Our Price: $15.16 Materials: Soft black rubber with cobblestone (stippled) surface, not checkered Features: One Piece Monogrip design with a stirrup that attaches the grip to the gun through the bottom of the grip. Style: Open Backstrap, finger grooves and palm swells. Fits: Ruger Super Blackhawk with Square Trigger Guard Only Unless I'm reading this wrong -- I don't see a Square Trigger Guard on my pistol. So is this the right grip to order??
hangunnr
Re: My S/S Super Blackhawk is happy!!! "So is this the right grip to order??" In a word...........no. Your revolver is a Bisley frame not the standard Blackhawk frame. I don't believe Hogue makes a soft rubber grip for your revolver. hangunnr
