Re: Still struttin\' in PA!!!

I know what you mean Strut. Our season closes about the time yours opens and gobbling activity was pretty dead during the last week of our season. Then I catch this guy on one of my trail cams 23 days after the close of our season. Heck I set the cam up on a group of trails crossing a road in a 4 year old timbered thicket. Couldn't understand what was up with this guy.

Re: Still struttin\' in PA!!!

I know what you mean Dean. About 10 days prior to this pic I saw a hen with polts about a 1/4 of a mile east of this spot on the same logging road in a food plot close to where the woods open up. At the time I was scouting for a place to set up this trail camera to experiment getting some deer pics. The closest point to this spot where we had any gobbling activity was just east of where I saw the hen & polts on the eastern edge of the thicket. This particular spot is only about 100 yards east of a black top road and this is a nasty thicket. Ol' longbeard is coming from the blacktop road to the west. The other side of the blacktop road is another big cutover thicket. Looks like he was getting desperate for love. grin.gif
