AJ
Welcome to the forums. I have tried the Accelerators in 30-06 and .308 Winchester. The best accuracy I could get in 4 different 30-06 guns was about 8" at 100 yards. I would not recommend it for hunting. It is also a pointed bullet, which is only ok to use in a gun with a tube magazine as the first shot or as a 2 shot gun only. You should not put more than one round in the magazine as there is a possibility of the recoil setting off the stored cartridges in the magazine as the pointed bullet tip is resting on the primer of the next cartridge. I would use 150 gr or 170 gr loads, which ever the gun shoots the best. It will leave a decent hole in the hide, but until you can get a varmint/predator gun, it will work. Just like deer, you have to put the bullet in the vitals. A gut shot is just like a gut shot on anything else.
AJ
Re: yote hunting I suggest you go to the varmint forums and do a search on coyote and see what info is available. If you still have questions, ask one of the guys there. Sureshot is the predator hunting guru on this site. He should be able to help you out.
