archerjg
Does anyone shoot this bow or have any experience with the bow. I was looking at this one to replace my older Bear bow. I have looked at the Hoyts, Mathews, PSE, and other. I was just wondering if these bows have any problems. Before I drive an hour plus to shoot one I was just looking for some information. AJ
Re: Bowtech Samson It's a VFT that goes higher than 70 pounds. I have a 70# VFT and its the same bow. I wanted a Sampson in 80# but my Bowtech dealer (Hancock, MD) is almost 2 hours away and does not carry them. While Derek allowed me to shoot any of his bows, I didn't want to order one and have to make a return trip a week later. The VFT is top heavy. When I first tried it I didn't like it. I ended up buying a Hoyt Supertec. A couple months later, I bought a used VFT. It's a sweet shooting bow though. I have mine set up as a target bow and I am getting 12" groups at 80 yards with it. I guess if i practiced more, I could shrink them a bit more. Try a Bowtech and see if you like the grip.
Rayzorp
Re: Bowtech Samson My Golden Eagle got to heavy for me, so after weeks of traveling from one pro shop to another, shooting about a couple dozen bows, I picked the Bowtech Patriot VFT, sweet, fast and quiet. I'm still setting it up,, but the few times I shot, it is a definite improvement over my Golden Eagle,, the Liberty was also nice,, good luck !!
