Bigger grips are easier to torque than a narrow grip. That is the main reason, I think. confused.gifgrin.gif I like the larger grip on my Switchback. I really liked the grip on my XTEC last year, but the grip on the Switchback gives me a more consistent grip each time. wink.gif

i prefer to shoot straight off the riser.. thats what i like about my 2 Hoyt bows . they have a thin grip that allows me to find a torque free grip..

first thing i did on my new 05 Ultratec is remove the grip and add cloth grip tape.. i then did the same for my 03 Protec but i left the little side plates on because it just felt better..
