MCH
It's all in what feels best for you. Some people like a thin grip against their palm and others like some substance. I'm a substance man myself. One of the reasons I purchased my TRX is for the contoured grip.
Chrud
Re: does taking off the grip--- Bigger grips are easier to torque than a narrow grip. That is the main reason, I think. I like the larger grip on my Switchback. I really liked the grip on my XTEC last year, but the grip on the Switchback gives me a more consistent grip each time. Tony
Re: does taking off the grip--- i prefer to shoot straight off the riser.. thats what i like about my 2 Hoyt bows . they have a thin grip that allows me to find a torque free grip.. first thing i did on my new 05 Ultratec is remove the grip and add cloth grip tape.. i then did the same for my 03 Protec but i left the little side plates on because it just felt better.. heres a pic of it..
