muggs
Re: Tree Climber??? summit's are really nice. Lone Wolf's are really nice is you want to spend. I'd go with any summit.
MCH
Re: Tree Climber??? One vote for Summit Viper. Doubles for gun and bow. Comfortable and portable.

Guest tyshe17
Re: Tree Climber??? I would go with the nontypical...this is the sturdies climber made (has an extra set of braces to hold the tree that no other climbers have) and is only 2 lbs more than the Summit Broadhead! For the same price.
preacherman
Re: Tree Climber??? I like my Ol' Man stand. It is super quite and very lite in and out of the woods. Easy to climb with as well.

Guest DaveGP
Re: Tree Climber??? i love my summit viper but im throwing you a curve ball here... i learned to climb with my arms around the tree in a tss climber that weighed 25 pounds.. no other stand climbed that sweet without an aid, until, my uncle bought the loggy lite... like 13 pounds and climbs good without the aid if you can wrap your arms around the tree... then they came out with the climbing aid... they are awesome stands imo. check them out! a lightweight platform that climbs easily with or without an aid is an accomplisment! dave

LifeNRA
Re: Tree Climber??? Well so far I been eyeballing this one! Summit Viper X5! But its $250! How often do you have to re-place climbers?
Tominator
Re: Tree Climber??? [ QUOTE ] Summit Viper X5! But its $250! How often do you have to re-place climbers? [/ QUOTE ] My API is at least 10 years old, and except for the worn shrink wrap on the chain, it's in perfect condition. Both the API and Summit I know hold up very well. The investment is worth it IMHO. You won't be sorry.
Guest DaveGP
Re: Tree Climber??? not trying to be negative because i have a viper but the rail can prevent you from taking seated shots with your bow... you even have to watch clearance with standing depending on how far apart the top and bottow piece is... good stand though, just have to practice with it! dave
Guest stsi36
Re: Tree Climber??? there is a nice one nobody has heard of but can go higher than any other tree stand and can be used for any season and is very comfortable beacuse you can lay in it. it is very versitile. it is called the tree lounge and it is only $199. i am not sure of the website that you can find it at though. so you may have to look for it. ThethirdI
Re: Tree Climber??? I have a Tree Lounge and an API Packmaster. The Tree Lounge is fantastic but I do have one gripe. If you have to stand up to shoot...it takes a lot of movement to get up from the reclined position that you sit in. The Packmaster has a telescopic ladder connected to it so I'm not sure what you would classify it as. You carry it in and out on every trip so I guess it's in the same class. It has an awkward shape but it is the best treestand for any situation that I have ever owned. I have had it in trees that a climber would never fit in. It is hands down the best for me. ruttinbuc
Re: Tree Climber??? I went with the Lone Wolf climber a few years ago and wondered why I hadn't gone to one sooner. There are times when I forget that I am carrying it. I used a Loggy Bayou climber for too many years to count. Thought that was the lightest and best. Far from it! Guest thegoat273
Re: Tree Climber??? I HAVE A SUMMIT VIPER XL, I LOVE IT. HANG AND HUNT IS GREAT. LifeNRA
Re: Tree Climber??? LOL! I changed my mind! I will be buying the Goliath X5 from Summit! I just saw it at Cabela's tonite, its three inches wider than the Viper and can handle up to 350 pounds! Not that I need that, just more peace of mind! LOL! They do recommend the use of an additional ratchet strap for the top piece, keeps it from moving around while there is no weight on it! Thanks all for the input!
