My family has always had chevy and GMC trucks and htey have always been excellent. I am finally gettin gready to buy another after my last one got totaleed by a drunk, and my dad is in teh marked to trade in his 200 GMC. Our local Gm dealer has changed hands and well the place isn't what it used to be. He went in and started talking to see what kind of deal he coudl get if we both bought new 2005 extended cab, half ton 4x4's. He said they seemed annoyed to have to serve a customer. So we are seriously considering ford, mainly due to the fact it is a reputable dealership. Any forum members have the 2005 4x4? If so, what do you think of it, any problems, and was the re-design an improvement? Thanks

Oh, let's try not to make this a brand bashing thread, i need info from owners on the truck.

Re: 2005 Ford F-150

My dad is a GM retiree, so I'll always have GM, mostly because my dad would take me out of the will otherwise grin.gif

I parked right next to a new F-150 today at the gym. I don't know about interior, ride, handling, etc, but I sure think they look sweet.

It's a proven truck, go for it if the GM dealer is a dork.

Ford builds excellent trucks. I would buy another one in a second. They sell more trucks than any other maker for a reason......

I have a 2002 F-150 Crewcab 4X4. A very solid truck except for the piece of junk sun roof that has already been totally replaced and is now leaking again. Other than that I love the truck!

Doesn't use a drop of oil, I have 50,000 miles on it, gets about 17mph overall.
