Guest tunkhannockbowhunter
a lot of people dont use peeps you just have to have a consistent anchor point ( i.e. kisser button) and practice more often
tedicast
Re: peeps and kissers [ QUOTE ] thank you. I also use both but I have probloms in low light conditions seeing clearly through the peep. it seems as if it just intensifies the darkness to me. [/ QUOTE ] Untill this past few months i used both also. I got rid of the kisser when I bought my Outback. There are some peeps with real big aperatures out there. I am using one by Shurz. I believe it is called the 2x2 that is awesome.
Guest Finn
Re: peeps and kissers I had used a peep for years and this past fall, took it off and just use a kisser button. For me, it's better but you'd have to try them yourself. WELCOME to the site!

Guest tyshe17
Re: peeps and kissers For accuracy nothing beats a peep sight, except maybe a peep and a kisser. They both take about 3-5 fps off your bow. The major advantage of a peep over a kisser is that it gives the brain something to line the pin up in the middle of. This prevents some torque, but mostly entails a consistant anchor point with a visual (as opposed to by feel with the kisser) indicator. The best way I have found to shoot consistantly is to use a peep (larger ones work great for hunting) and put my string down the tip of my nose to the corner of my mouth. I do this with my eyes closed and open them up and all I see is pins through the peep. hope we are able to be of some help.
AdvantageTimberLou
Re: peeps and kissers I use a Peep sight with a large opening. Works for me. I have been considering adding a kisser button as well. Was going to get one at Gander Mountain last week and they didn't have any on hand. May add one and see if what it does, maybe much tighter groups!
AaronS
Re: peeps and kissers When I started shooting I used a kisser only because that is the way Dad had his bow set up, and I shot that way for over 10 years. When I started shooting 3D a lot I added a peep and lost the kisser and saw increased consistency and accuracy. The trick with the peep is keeping consistent form as tyshe said. In low light it's possible to shoot with both eyes open with your peep, but it takes practice like anything else.
Tominator
Re: peeps and kissers I've used a peep for quite a few years, and I'm thinking of going to a kisser this year due to some numbness in my neck due to surgery. It's tough for me to feel my correct anchor.
christsavedme
Re: peeps and kissers First off I would like to welcome you to the forum....IMO I like using both.....for the simple fact that my peep has a large hole so that I can see in low light conditions and therefore I feel that the kisser helps me come to the same anchor point each time I draw. I have in the passed used just the peep, but after I drilled mine out I felt I needed the kisser and added it. Now that I use both I love it! Guest thegoat273
Re: peeps and kissers I USE A PEEP. I DRILLED IT OUT A BIT TO HELP WITH THE LOW LIGHT CONDITIONS. HELPED ALOT
WIwhitetailhunter
Re: peeps and kissers I use just a peep. As long as you get and hold the same anchor spot each time you should be good to go.
