AJ Posted July 15, 2005 Report Share Posted July 15, 2005 Re: Slings Typically shotgun slings have loops that go around the barrel and the buttstock. This is for those guns that don't have studs installed. Some shotgun slings have a swivel on one end only. The swivel goes into the stud that is part of the magazine cap. The other end has a loop that goes around the buttstock. If the gun has studs installed on both ends, you can use any type of sling you want.
