LifeNRA
Re: Trophy Ridge Sights Not yet but I am planning on getting the Matrix, my problem is I dont know which one. .029 pins or the .019 pins!
Guest Bowhunter2114
Re: Trophy Ridge Sights They are real nice accept for the Flatliner. I currently use the Toxonic Top-Gun and I am sticking with it but my Brother has the Matrix and it is working well for him. My first sight was a flatliner and it started to slide...I decided I couldn't have confidence in that anymore so that is why I switched. One tip is make sure you crank down the sight from the beginning
billkay
Re: Trophy Ridge Sights I had one, the Nitro I think. It was the 5 pin model and I just couldn't get used to it. Went back to a single pin. If you're interested init, drop me a PM.
Guest Bowhunter2114
Re: Trophy Ridge Sights Oh and "Lifenra" I would go with the .019. They help Out a ton with accuracy, or atleast it helped me
Guest bowhunter56
Re: Trophy Ridge Sights i use the mantis pendelum, the other sights just don't have enough light, some only have one wrap of fiber optics.

boonencricket
Re: Trophy Ridge Sights I just bought another matthews SQ2 and it came with the Matrix TR sites. I shot the bow and found that there is some vibration in the sites. It has a light added on, im hoping thats what is causing the problem. Like the looks of the sites but a litle noisy at the moment. Any one else with this problem?
tedicast
Re: Trophy Ridge Sights After comparing a TR Matric, side by side with a Copper John Dead Nuts sight, The CJ sight was much better built. I liked the idea of the vertical pins, but I thought the quality of the TR was lacking. For the price I didn'tthing the TR should have a plastic pin gaurd. Maybe they have changed in the past few years.
NY911Bowhunter
Re: Trophy Ridge Sights HD, I have had 3 of these - one Guides series and 2 regular Matrix's The Guide Series was great, but too brittle, so the regular Matrix is what I recommend. I used it fir the last two years with great luck. I have tried 5 or so different sights since then, and keep going back to the TR Matrix. I also recommend the light system to use with it. I am looking at the new TR Rhino for the Switchback. I like the .029 pins myself, as it gives a bigger aiming point in low light.
Nick
Re: Trophy Ridge Sights I have the Matrix and continue to use it although Ido have some dislikes about it. MY biggest thing is PLASTIC. The whole site is plastic including the pins. You can take your fingers and flex the sight pins from side to side. The other thing I dont like is how bulky it is. It doesnt allow much arrow clearance if you have a higher anchoring point like I do. The thing that I likeabout it and the reason I keep using it is because I like the verticle pins and how small they are. Much easier to aim and find your target in your sights I think. I would look into the Alpha if you want a Trophy Ridge. Its an aluminum housing with steel pins and the pins are also verticle.
Guest MizzouHunter6
Re: Trophy Ridge Sights I have a Matrix Guide Series on my Martin and I have yet to find any faults in it. Seems very durable and the lock that holds the pins in place stays pretty tight. Ive heard some people on here say that it can come lose but mine hasnt moved at all on me. ZooBear
Re: Trophy Ridge Sights I own one and Im a little surprised that the fiber optics are looped out of the bottom of the sight housing. If your fletching catches them they break.
LifeNRA
Re: Trophy Ridge Sights Nick, I was just looking at them tonite, the Micro Matrix has steel pins, not plastic! Maybe the cheaper models, or the older models had plastic. Not the newer ones! This is what I was going to buy. [ QUOTE ] The Guide Series was great, but too brittle, so the regular Matrix is what I recommend. [/ QUOTE ] Why are the guide series brittle? NY911Bowhunter
Re: Trophy Ridge Sights The one you have pictured is different than the one I had - looks like they retooled it to make it more sturdy. Go fo it man!
HeviShot
Re: Trophy Ridge Sights I use a Toxonics 5 pin with a little light attached.I've shot alot in the past 2 weeks with no problems.Although I think the light would cause a halo around the sights in low light hunting conditions. The pins are bright enough without a light.
