Re: chucking lead at those fast flying doves!

Oh yeah. Can't wait. We open on the 1st also.

I've got a buddy that has about 15 acres of field with a telephone wire running right through the middle of it. He's usually surrounded by either beans, wheat or corn fields, and he also plants millet to attract them.

We usually limit the first Saturday in about an hour. The first time I shoot it takes about 2 boxes to get my limit of 15. By the 3rd and 4th week, I'm dialed in and last year I got a limit in 17 shots, but that was an exceptionally good day, and it takes discipline when you're shooting a 20 gauge.

All I can say is how fortunate you guys are to hunt them. shocked.gif I hope they never screw with your season like Mi. has frown.gif

They've screwed with Ohio's dove season in the past Mike, but have left it alone for quite some time now.

Hope Michigan comes to its senses and allows a season on doves. They really are a lot of fun to hunt.

Hope you're feeling better too btw.
