popgun
Re: tractor experts???? I think it is definitely called a bush hog. Of course around here we still ask someone "What kind of Coke do you want?" (when we're refering to all soft drinks.) It may be a local thing. We call Horned Toads "Horny Toads" and not horned lizards. I eat pancakes for breakfast, and to my knowledge have never eaten a flapjack. .....popgun

Ohiobucks
Re: tractor experts???? I mentioned to my neighbor, "Hey I see you have a bush hog." He said, "It is more of a finish mower." So I pay someone else to "bush hog" my few acres. A few days later, my neighbor asked me, "Why didn't you ask me to bush hog for you? I would have done it!" Evidentally, he has a bush hog that he uses as a finish mower so it doesn't take him as long to mow......... Bush hog around here............ Guest cowpoke
Re: tractor experts???? Ohiobucks, There is (or potentially is) a difference between a bush hog and a finishing mower even though they look similar. Land pride and a few other companies make a finishing mower that can be attached by a 3 point hitch or possibly pulled behind via the drawbar that leaves the grass cut looking like it was mowed with a lawnmower. might be described as a lawnmower deck behind the tractor. the typical bush hog leaves stuff looking well... not so finished looking
