Strut10
The kiddos got to spend some time with their new turkey guns today. They both won NWTF Jakes limited edition NEF Pardner 20 gauges about a month ago. Every time we'd plan to shoot, it would rain or something. So today they got to run almost a box of low brass between them. Shot the crap out of the "turkey" (actually a big tomato can). My daughter's 11 and pretty good sized. She had no issues. Boy, who's 7 and skinny got the "rock & roll". But he loved it.......even though the gun about picked his skinny little behind off the ground. I haven't had any serious playtime with these guns, yet. But, first impression is that with a 3" turkey load, these little popguns are going to be real turkey-smashers.

Rhino
Re: Strutlets day at the patterning board............. I was wondering when you'd let the Strutlets go blasting a few cans or turkey targets. Glad you broke them in with some low brass shells. The high brass turkey loads out of those light guns are going to give um a jolt. You might want to work your way up. Glad you and the youngsters enjoyed the outing. How about some action pics now? Washi
Re: Strutlets day at the patterning board............. I tried some turkey loads out of two 20ga shotguns before letting my daughter and niece shoot them. I shot an old pump first and it didn't feel bad at all. But when I shot one out of the NEF Pardner it hit hard, real hard. Worse than my 12 guage pump with turkey loads. I won't do it again. You should try it out for yourself before letting the kids shoot. It would be a shame if it hurt them enough to make them quit.
Strut10
Re: Strutlets day at the patterning board............. Sorry guys. Didn't get any action photos due to the rain. The guns can be wiped down. But the digital's kinda funny about getting wet. But, now that the Strutlet's have gotten a taste of turkey-gunnin'.................they are hooked!!!!!!! It'll be a non-stop beg from here on out. "Daddy!!! Can we shoot our shotguns????" I'll get you'ns some action pics.
