Guest TheDanishDanger
I was comin through my neighborhood tonight and there was a fox running behind a fawn. Then down the road was the momma with another fawn. Is it possible that a fox can bring down a fawn? I stopped and chased off the fox and he scampered off but I know he didn't go far. I was just wonderin if anyone has ever heard or seen a fox take down a fawn.
ThethirdI
Re: Fox after fawn!!! Wow that's pretty strange. I would think that under the right circumstances it could happen but I think that fox was trying to bite off more than he could chew. wtnhunt
Re: Fox after fawn!!! Never heard of a fox taking down a live healthy fawn. To take the fawn down, the fox would have to catch the fawn first.

Guest tyshe17
Re: Fox after fawn!!! would have been neat to see...I would say the fox could take the fawn, but when it starts to squak and mom comes in I bet the fox would run

PAhardwoods
Re: Fox after fawn!!! I agree too.....all it would really take is a couple good bites on the fawns back tendon to bring it down then close in for the neck Cody
PAbowhunter4life
Re: Fox after fawn!!! I'm with Too Pointer & Hardwoods on this one. God designed a fox to be a predator, so I am 100% sure that guy knew what he was doing. As said already, one good bite on a tendon or a broken bone and the fox will pounce on that fawns neck in a heartbeat, provided that mama doesn't punt the fox first lol
