Guest silver
I have been looking for land in that area. For me to swing the payment there needs to be some income coming from the land. Is there any crop rent or CRP? You can PM me, Thanks, Steve

It's crazy...houses I looked at 8 years ago that were selling for $90,000, are going for $300,000. Not exagerating either. I am so kicking myself that I didn't buy a house when I bought my condo now! Jeramie
Re: Monster Iowa Hunting Farm For Sale Thank god things are still cheaper here. I bought 12acres and my house for 112,500. There is now 8 acres behind me that I can get for 30K. Down here if you buy anything over 50+ it starts to drop to under a grand and acre. Some places are starting to get crazy but for the most part its still somewhat reasonable.
AaronS
Re: Monster Iowa Hunting Farm For Sale Come on lotto! Daddy wants a new farm! Good luck selling Bison Mo, it sounds like a very nice property. I too wish I was in a position to buy it. Welcome to the forum.
Mach1
Re: Monster Iowa Hunting Farm For Sale Doesn't seem like a bad price at all. At my parents' home it's hard to find anything under $2000/acre - timber or farmable - with most farmable acreage goign for $3000+. Where I live now and go to school, my future in-laws just recently bought a 3 acre lot for around $35K. Also a guy I work with worked for another guy that sold 40 acres for almost $1 million. Needless to say, people in this area who own land are sitting on gold mines with all the subdivisions that are going up.
10acboy
Re: Monster Iowa Hunting Farm For Sale Places here in Fredericksburg are going for 250K for a two acre lot - not counting the house that starts out in the mid 400's!!!!!!!! Smitteken
Re: Monster Iowa Hunting Farm For Sale I'm with Mach 1 on this one. IF I could find something like that in S. Illinois I'd buy it right now. Ground around me gos for 3000 to 5000 an acre. CRAZY
carbonhunter
Re: Monster Iowa Hunting Farm For Sale [ QUOTE ] Be assured there are mucho muy grande bucks on our farm, thus the price. The price is within the price range in our area for prime hunting ground. We're only 35 miles from the Albia buck's former stomping grounds. Thanks for the comments guys and welcoming me to your forum. Bison Mo [/ QUOTE ] no doubt about iit thats a good price my parents are trying to move back to Iowa and that sounds about the norm for land around there, if it has game on it its a great price.
