Re: Harry Potter & the Half-Blood Prince

My oldest son Joe, (Joe's 11), ordered his book back in January, got it Saturday around lunch time, finished it yesterday around 3 p.m.

Want to know how it ends?

LOL, my son the book worm. 652 pages in a little over a day. It would have been a day, but I actually told him to put the book away Saturday night around 10 and go to bed. crazy.gif

No wonder he won't play football. grin.gif

Re: Harry Potter & the Half-Blood Prince

I picked the book up sunday afternoon and finished it at about 10 pm. I haven't been disappointed with any of her books, but didn't care much for her decision to kill off the person she did in this book!

I don't think you can really call them a kids book when it is over 600 pages! (at least that's what I tell myself...)

Re: Harry Potter & the Half-Blood Prince

Here's my prediction for future books:

Snape is actually a good guy.

Hagrid is a bad guy.

Neville Longbottom is supposed to kill Voldermort...not Harry.

Dumbledore and Sirius come back for the final book.

Re: Harry Potter & the Half-Blood Prince

Can't say I ever read any of the books either.Sure glad they finally hit the book stores. grin.gif

I work where for the last couple months we've been making them. For security reasons all doors were closed and it got hot and sticky in there.

If your book falls apart it must be one somebody else made. grin.gif

Re: Harry Potter & the Half-Blood Prince

I'm 21 and have read the whole series.... as well as my 15 year old sister AND!!!! get this...... my nearly 60 year old Aunt Ruth who absolutely LOVES the books. LOL

My sister got the book at midnight when it was allowed to be sold and finished it early Sunday morning around 2:30am! She's been doing nothing but urging me to hurry up and finish so we can discuss theories and such!

PLEASE.... no spoilers! mad.gif

Re: Harry Potter & the Half-Blood Prince

For all you harry potter fans who are done with the book and waiting for the next, try reading Eragon by Christopher Paolini. It is a like a mixture of Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings. I read it the other weekend while camping and it was great. Couldn't believe a teenager wrote the book!

I don't know about those. Snape made an Unbreakable Vow with Malfoy's mom. Either he follows thru with protecting Malfoy or he dies.

I think Hagrid is a harmless giant with a big heart.

Neville, that's possible.....

What are you talking about Dumbledore and Sirius come back? Dumbledore disappears at the end of this book? Sirius is dead. He died at the Ministry at the end of the 5th book.

Re: Harry Potter & the Half-Blood Prince

Jenn just picked the book up yesterday. She gives me flak about spending money on shotshells and then goes and buys this huge expensive book! grin.gifgrin.gif

I must admit. The movies are good. I should really read the books. Maybe I will borrow it after she is done. She'll have it finished before noon today.
