Adjam5
I have a 1969 Firebird convertible which is about a 85pt car. This car is great shape. Turn the key and drive. The color is Flame Red and a NEW white top, with Cragers for the wheels. I am the second owner and have owned it since 1985. Car is stored in NYC. It also has 53,000 ORIG miles. Interior is original and mint and Parchment is the color(off white, pearly). Email for serious inquiries and pictures. $15,
tedicast
Re: 1969 Firebird convertible Adjam.. how about a little drive train info? Is it a numbers matching car? what has been done to the car mechanically, and cosmetically?
Adjam5
Re: 1969 Firebird convertible The car is 100% numbers matching car. Except for the fuel pump which went back in the late 80's. The drive train, 4.1 lt 250cu in line 6 Over head cam, 1bbl carb, 2 speed power glide tranny. The car was restored back in 86 with an enamel paint job code 083GM flame red( in a booth) and NEW convertible top with a NEW back window. VERY LITTLE rot was in rear wheel wells. The convertible top works. The interior, parchment in color, seats need nothing, dashboard is black. Carpet is fine. The end of the turn signal, plastic tip is chipped, the bracket on the handle that opens the vent on the passenger side is broke(plastic). The "I" is missing on the Pontaic on the deck lid( I have the "I") Thats all thats wrong with this car. This is a rare car. Everyone who got a hold of one of these ripped out the 6 and put in a big block in. This motor is untouched, still has the turquise paint on the block. This car is a driver. Car is turn key. Guest 2500HD
Re: 1969 Firebird convertible Just curious why an original inline 6/2-spd PG car would have the optional 160mph speedo in it and not the standard 120mph gauge? I had (4) 67-69 camaro's and the 140 was an option, did pontiac put 160's in everything? I didn't realize the firebirds were different than the camaros. I could see the Trans-Am having the 160 but not a 6-banger. Just did a quick search and yes the firebirds did have the 160's in them. Learn something new everyday! Wasn't really questioning your car, just was curious about the the speedo. Very nice car BTW!
