Re: North American Hunting Club

I'm a member as well. Pretty good club. The magazine is good and their field test program is great. Recently they also started some contests to win stuff which is "always" cool". I, too, get a lot of "opportunities" to save on memberships (I like how you said that oo buck). grin.gif

I " WAS " a member. I had enough of them after a few years. Good magazine, the staff just pestered me too much frown.gif

Me too!!! I think it's a good club if you can have a life membership. The field testing is better and they wouldn't be hounding for dues.

Re: North American Hunting Club

I've been a life member for about 5 years. I think I called them a couple times after sending stuff I didn't order and thanked them for the present. Since I hadn't ordered it, I had no intention of paying or returning it.

Haven't been sent anything without ordering it in many years. grin.gif

I really like the magazine and have rec'd 4 different field test items. The only worth much was a camo pants and jacket...very nice quality one. Best of all, the price was right. smirk.gif

Re: North American Hunting Club

I'm a former, paid-in-full life member who gave back my membership. Yep, after I paid the full amount for a life membership, and asked about 10 times to stop receiving books that I never ordered and was sent several dues submission forms (long after being paid-in-full) I called and told them to stick it and anything I received from then on I would consider a gift. I actually received 2 more books (both of which I already had) afterward.

They'd be an alright group if they just sold a magazine and didn't try to claim themselves a club.

Very similiar experience here, other than being a life member. My parents years ago, bought me a membership and I got pestered so bad I called them and told them anything I received from then on out was considered a gift also. They must love giving stuff away! grin.gif

Re: North American Hunting Club

I have been a life member sense about '93 and got alot of the stuff in the mail and then told them that sense I did not order this would keep it as a gift and that has stopped, I got alot of great friends there and been to a few GT's and that has been the best thing about the "CLUB" Wish they would bring back the old Chat room though, the new one no one can get on.

7th, I know what you mean about them sending you stuff that you did not order. I had a $150 pair of digital binoculars sent to me 2 years ago. I called them up and told them I did not order them and I will be sending them back immediately. They said ok. Then a few weeks later, they sent me a letter stating the did not receive them. I said too bad, I did not ask for them so it is your loss!
