NY911Bowhunter
Re: Buckmasters? I am, but absolutly will NOT be renewing! In fact, I sent an email to the Outdoor Channel asking that they take the Jackie Busham Show off the air! It is a disgrace, an emabrassment and a black eye to all of us "real" hunters who work hard for our animals! I would even go as far as to ask Realtree to NOT sponsor them! Kudos for working with the disabled and kids - but HE is NOT a spokesman for me!
wtnhunt
Re: Buckmasters? Not a member. Almost became a member, however we got several calls from them asking to sign up from people who did not sound like they knew a thing about hunting. Used to watch Jackie Busman pretty often on a wild feed on satellite back way back before it ever was picked up on TNN, back when TNN was TNN, and he was not too bad then, but I cannot stand to watch him anymore. Griz
Re: Buckmasters? I'm not a member... I use to get phone call after phone call from them and one day in the mail I get a Rack magizine with a letter saying that it was a free issue. I think it was like 2 weeks later I get another letter in the mail wanting my to pay for the magizine that I never ordered. After about a month went by I get a phone call from some guy that was being a real jerk, telling me that if I do not pay he was going to turn it into collection. I won't repeat what I told the idiot. If only I could reach through the phone... I sent the magine back to them and told them what to do with there magizine. As far as I'm concern Buckmasters is on there own. I don't watch there programs and eveytime something comes in the mail I file it (Trash)... Realtree is #1 in my book...
horst
Re: Buckmasters? They called me a few years back, I let em go through the whole speech on the phone and told em I couldnt do it at the time but if they called back at a later date I might be able to as i was a little short on cash. What shows up in my mailbox a few weeks later, thier magazine and a bill for over 100$ for a 5 year subsxcription I didnt order.I called em, told em to knock it off and thought that was the end.Untill the next magazine showed up. I quit sending them back and they started sending me nasty letters, this went on for about a year before everything stopped showing up in my mailbox Then they got ahold of my dad the following year. They were offering this gun insurance and stuff with your sign up package and dad was interested in that and asked em to send him some more information on it before he signed up.They sent him the magazine, and a bill, and before it was over they turned him into a collection agency. Ill never have nothing to do with them again, I used to visit thier forums quite a bit but even stopped going in there after the second incedent. deershed
Re: Buckmasters? Did anyone see the one show where Jackie and crew set up a hunter. It looked to be a Texas hunt and the hunter was in the front seat of a pickup. As they cruised the ranch somebody spotted a nice buck bedded. It was fake planted as a practial joke on the hunter. The hunter hangs his rifle out the window and takes a couple shots at this deer. Where's the safety issue and ethics in this picture? NYBUCK
Re: Buckmasters? Yes I am a member and have been for quite a few years. I am a sucker for any deer hunting mags. I do watch there show but boy the phone calls can get annoying. Sometimes if I am in a good mood I will talk to the good ole southern boys, other times I blow them off. Rhino
Re: Buckmasters? No I'm not Scott. I used to be but dropped it a long time ago. It got to where their magazine was more advertisements than anything else. If you have one of their videos, you know the commercials are still in them too, just like TV. At least the ones I bought for my son that are stashed away are that way. Jackie Bushman is the worst guy about pushing products and JMO appears to be the least knowledgeable of any hunter on TV. I don't watch his shows anymore but I do remember some in the past where he'd have all sorts of stuff laid out to discuss each one of them in detail, one at a time. It didn't help my opinion of him either to see him (about 10 years ago) killing a 1 year old spike for the show. He just had to have a buck kill for the show I guess. I wouldn't do that then or now and I sure didn't expect to see a so called professional by the name of Buckmaster doing it.
randyoitker1
Re: Buckmasters? Hey guys, I only know that if you go to the Buckmasters Expo, it only costs 2 cans of food to get in,not $20.00 a person like some expos. It is full of manufacturers and their products. Bill Jordan and Micheal Waddell have been known to be there and they always have free entertainment to their members. This year it is John Micheal Montgomery and Confederate Railroad. Concert is free to all members and last year it was Montgomery Gentry. Jackie is a very honest person and helps so many young people to get involed in our sport. I will be perfoming my archery trick shots there in the Young Bucks Pavillion. They have all shooting and video games for your kids to play for free. They also bring in animals and lots of fun activities for the kids. We have to keep the kids interested in our sport or it will fade away. That is what I try to do when I perform,is get the kids wanting to shoot a bow. If I can get one kid out of a crowd interested in what we like to do. I feel good. I am not trying to sell anything I just think that it is a fun hunting expo to attend that doesn't break your wallet. Randy
VtBowhunter
Re: Buckmasters? Randy, I think it's great that you wanna get the kids involved, but I can do that just fine here at home......in fact with my kids I'm 4 for 4 with them wanting to learn to shoot archery and I don't have to expose them to commercialism that follows Buckmasters everywhere.........someone has to draw the line somewhere. I applaud you for all that you're doing and keep it up......Lord knows we need more folks getting the kids involved.

Bow Hunter Derek
Re: Buckmasters? I'll just say this. The reason I would never consider being a member of Buckmasters is based on their spokes man. I will not argue that they do wonderful things for kids and disabled hunters. But with Bushman leading their camp, I would never support them. I've read too much and seen to much of his garbage on TV. The old Buckmasters show is bad and this new thing he has out is the bottom of the barrel.
