Tim Andrus
Well, tonight I switched from aluminum to carbon arrows. Was'nt ready for a few years then got some of those new Carbon Express Maxima's this year from some of my friends at Carbon Express..... Whoo hoo are they ever nice . Shot for a 1/2 hour then put the ol Hoyt away . Very nice , gained some yardage for sure. Very happy with them. Also ,big thanks to T-one ( Travis Turner) who fletched, nocked and Team Realtree wrapped them for me for my hunt in Illinois with one of Realtree cameramen. Cant wait! On the other hand I was very happy with aluminum the last 20 yrs. They performed well ,did their job. So for those who have aluminum and are happy stay with them. For those curious about Carbons give them a try as well . Caution They are not cheap. Luckily for me I had friends. tim
Tominator
Re: switched finally! very happy That's cool Tim. I made the switch a few years ago, and now, I don't know why. Price probably. The way I see it, carbons are either straight or broke, and you can't say that about aluminum.

Tim Andrus
Re: switched finally! very happy Thanks Buckee!! Hopefully the deer gods will shine on me this time and give me a shot. Then its up to me, but I think I can get er done. And if its good it will be for Monster Bucks 14 and or the Realtree show. tim
Rhino
Re: switched finally! very happy I don't know tim....I have bent as many as 6 alluminum arrows in one practice session before. That's hard to do with carbon arrows. When you take that into consideration they might be a lot cheaper per shot. Something to think about. Good luck in Illinois and I sure hope you bag a big one and make the RT video cut from all the hunts they make each year.
