Guest elk5bs
I have a Omega 50. I'm using 777@100gr. What primer will help with the crud ring?

[/ QUOTE ] Try using a 209 shotgun primer. Also reduce your load of "777" to 90 grains to help cut down on that "Crud Ring".
ZooBear
Re: primers for ML Try a Kleanbore 209 or a 209-4 4/10 primer.
lil hunter
Re: primers for ML You could try the primers listed above, they will help. But in my opinion, the only way to really help the crud ring, is to put 2 patches down your barrel, after EVERY shot. First one, spray windex on it, send it down, flip it over, and put down again. Then do the same thing with a dry patch. It's always worked for me. Yes, it can be a hassle to clean every shot, but I don't really think it's that big of a deal. Guest elk5bs
Re: primers for ML Thanks for all the info. I use a patch with windex after every shot and some times the rod gets stuck. I will try some of the suggestion. With the American Powder, what would be a good starting load with 348 PowerBelt and what primer?
Guest coop2564
Re: primers for ML I use winchester 209 and would start with 75gr and work up 5gr at a time until you find the sweet spot.
