Guest Squirrelbuster
Re: Who belongs to BASS ? I used to be a BASS member, but I live in New York meaning there isn't that great of Largemouth fishing, mostly Smallmouth fishing, and I also prefer fishing smaller lakes and rivers. What I have found of BASS is that they focus on Largemouth in big Southern and Western Lakes and Reservoirs, so that doesn't help me out much, so when my subscription ended I didn't renew. But I am not saying it wasn't a good magazine, it just wasn't a magazine that helps me out that much.
dogdoc
Re: Who belongs to BASS ? I was a member of BASS for over 10 years. I gave up the membership after ESPN purchased the organization. I just felt the magazine kept repeating the same old stuff.
RTF
Re: Who belongs to BASS ? Squirrelbuster , I live in NY and I think we have great largemouth population. There is so many places to fish. Have you tried any of the NYC reseviors over in westchester and putnam counties ? The Hudson river also holds largemouth. I bet you did not know that 2 Bass Openers will be held in NY next year to qaulify for the classic.

[/ QUOTE ] I didn't, mean to say the Largemouth pop. was bad or that the there weren't decent Largemouth fish, but to get the bigger better largemout pops., I would have to go and fish the bigger waters, and as I stated in my last post, I don't really like fishing the big waters (that was another reason I didn't like BASS). But still, the Smallmouth fishing is still better in comparison in NY than the Largemouth is. To answer your question on the NYC reservoirs and Westchester, no I haven't, because I don't really have the money to spend on fishing trips.
