Guest teamgoose4
can anyone tell me something about these guns? they look nice and are pretty cheap so i was looking to pick one up. any comments id like to hear them. good or bad. especially about the Franchi that you can change the gas pressure for light loads. this sounds a little complicated to me. preacherman
Re: Franchi model 912 or Stoeger model 2000 don't know anything about those models, but have always heard good things about those stoeger guns.
Guest CBU93
Re: Franchi model 912 or Stoeger model 2000 Between the two, I'd go with the Franchi...but that is just me. Not intimately familiar with either, but when you say it can change the pressure setting for lighter loads...is that just an O ring adjustment or what? Guest gobblergetter15
Re: Franchi model 912 or Stoeger model 2000 Those two guns have very different prices. The 912 ranges from $790 to $900. The 2000 is about $475. I personally like the franchi. In my opinion it is a higher quality gun. It all depend on what your willing to spend. And on the pressure adjustment subject, its an adjustment of the collar to regulate the amount of gas entering the operating system to compensate for high or low pressure ammo. Hope this answers your questions.
mo_hunter
Re: Franchi model 912 or Stoeger model 2000 I HAD a franchi 912 with the steadygrip. It never cycled right from the start. Heavy or light loads. I had to sent it back to Franchi. They fixed the problem ok but I bought the gun before turkey season and never got to use it for hunting last season I sent it in to be fixed two weeks before the season started and they had the gun 10 weeks. When I got is back I made sure it worked properly and then sold it. I would stay away from Franchi IMO. I bought a beretta xtrema and never looked back. Good luck. AJ
Re: Franchi model 912 or Stoeger model 2000 [ QUOTE ] ive been through numerous pump guns and cant seem to find one that'll work right. [/ QUOTE ] Why not an 870 Remington? They are definately reliable and fully functional. If the operator is faulty, its not the guns fault.
