Getting ready for fall

Well, I started getting ready for the upcoming season. Loaded up a bunch of 150 grn scirrocos for the old 06 and started polishing and primining the 250 brass.

It's like pulling teeth to start loading but as soon as I start I get addicted. Can't wait to do some shooting.

Anybody else getting the itch? grin.gif

Re: Getting ready for fall

Looks like most of my work will be getting my family ready for this year. Got my 10 year old son a .243 handy rifle and need to get him out as much as I can so he will be ready for WV youth hunt in Nov (I think that is the first one) and would like to take him Thanksgiving, may be the only day I get to hunt this year but that will be great if the 2 boys get a deer and the 3rd one gets to go with us.

Well, I have not gotten anything ready yet for gun season. I need to set down and load up some ammo, but gun wise I am set. Need to get to camp and do some airing out and some lite maintanence work on camp, but other than that I am pretty set.

With bow season coming up I am almost ready for that. Got a new bow, but won't get into that here.

Just can't wait for season to open!

Re: Getting ready for fall

I realy need to get to work on a load for my '06.

I have decided to use my own reloads exclusively starting last year and have only worked up one load for it. I want to work up a second load with one other powder to check acuracy and velocities. Then I will pick one of the two for the season.
