buckee
LMBO. It's not the judo-tips and Gold-tips that don't get along,... it's the solid objects like trees and carbons that don't get along, especially when you put a judo point on and make the carbon take the full brunt of the shot....LOL
Smitteken
Re: Judo tips and Gold tips do not mix. I don't think you're really supposed to shoot a stump. Stump shooting is a figure of speech. You're supposed to shoot a leaves or cowpatties or whatever. NOT STUMPS.
Smitteken
Re: Judo tips and Gold tips do not mix. Atleast the Judo point is still in good shape.
VTbowman
Re: Judo tips and Gold tips do not mix. Umm stump shooting. "Stump" is basically anything to shoot at in the woods as a target not neccesarily a real stump. If you shoot at actual stumps make sure they are pretty near rotted out. When I go we shoot at a leaf that sticks out more then others, a stick, mushrooms, even spots of sunlight shining threw the leaves on the forest floor or hill side... Pretty much soft targets unless there is a hidden stone or rock. I would imagine and type of tipped carbon shot into a hard wood stump, tree, ect. would do that sort of damage. Believe me I know cause I have done it too. LOL
Guest coop2564
Re: Judo tips and Gold tips do not mix. I've use the GT's with judo's for squirrels for years with very good accuracy. Although they are a little noisy. I've never had that happen, but I'm very careful about my shots, carbon arrows cost to much I just shoot when their on the ground. Although I have had quite a few skip off the ground and break into hitting limbs sideways.

Ravin R10 man
Re: Judo tips and Gold tips do not mix. We have snomobilers that try the same thing......with much the same results!!......anyway, I shot 3-d one time and my arrow hit a tree, and it just blew right up...all I could find was the vanes!!..It was a tough shot.....between the trees
LifeNRA
Re: Judo tips and Gold tips do not mix. I did some ROCK shooting before! Well........I missed the target! LOL! Ripped that carbon arrow up! With that, I figured anything hard will break them pretty good! I think I would go out and get a set of cheaper arrows for this type of shooting. Rhino
Re: Judo tips and Gold tips do not mix. LMBO...Ya might try shooting something little softer like a sand pile or cow pattie, preferably dry ones.
