AaronS
Re: Question for ya??? In early archery here we're allowed two deer, one of which can be a buck. Assuming that no shooter buck is following the doe, the doe is going home with me and my second tag is being saved for a shooter buck. Tominator
Re: Question for ya??? I'm actually wondering "Why am I still in the stand?" j/k Yep, that deer's getting an arrow launched at it. Our regulations allow at least 2 deer in every county I hunt.
Rhino
Re: Question for ya??? My answer: WACK!!! I hunt in a high deer density area here at home. The sooner we get the does out of the way, the better. We get 5 does here if 2 are taken with a bow. No problem puttin the smack down on one at 10:00. Mater of fact, I'll smack one at 1st light on opening day if I get the chance.

Steven
Re: Question for ya??? In Ga, we get 12 deer, 2 of which can be bucks. 10 a.m. opening day, a doe stops broadside 20 yards away, she gets a ride in a pick-up- destination: freezer

VTbowman
Re: Question for ya??? In VT Oct 1st is the start of our archery season. This only mean its "Doe season" to me... Its basically all you can expect to see and if you pass on her then, you might go all month and finish up with tag soup. Real, very real for VT... Straight Shooter
Re: Question for ya??? Opening day, there's no question about it. Game is ON! If it's brown, it's down. I don't pass up the first deer of the year. Bring on the WHACK and the watch the face slide! LOL
