Spencer, who drives the No. 4 Morgan-McClure Motorsports car in NASCAR's top series, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting a public officer or interfering with officers serving a warrant on his son James Johnathan Spencer Jr., according to the newspaper.

The arrests took place at approximately 11:20 p.m. ET Sunday, several hours after Spencer finished 29th in the Subway 500 Nextel Cup race at Martinsville Speedway.

Spencer's son and another individual were accused of pouring paint on two cars at a Cornelius residence on Oct. 6, according to the report.

Re: Jimmy Spencer, son arrested

You know what tics me off, is the fact this happened Sunday night after the race, after the Nascar family took a terrible turn. Emotions where already out of control before the police showed up to Spencers house. Since the police knew who they wanted and knew where to find him why didnt they just give them a phone call telling for both to be at the station in the AM with their lawyer because of the warrant for the boy. This is something Nascar does not need right now.

You think Jimmy has a shot at driving Robby Gordon's old RCR ride now that Robby's out......ssshhhhh.... hear that, I think I just heard satan's furnace kick on.... smile.gif

Guess Jimmy probably shouldn't give Richard Childress his resume. Save the embarassment!!

No. Childress wouldn't do something like that. I would like to see the guy get a ride, just to cost Busch the title, but not with RCR. Look what Burton has done for the 30 car. The 31 just needs a good driver.
