If any of you guys have a kids bow and or arrows laying around that you can donate or part with cheap, give me a holler. I've started several of my son’s friends shooting and the crowd seems to be growing. I have three extra compound kids bows and they have to wait in line to shoot. My son loans them his browning as well, and we are still shooting three groups in rotation.

I coach little league and the Jr Giants summer program so I know a lot of these kids. They love to shoot and keep asking me when they can come back over to shoot again. Most of these kids will never have the opportunity to shoot anywhere else, their parents can't afford the gear and don't see any value in the sport.

I’m talking to other archers and 4H folks in my home county trying to get archery started as a 4H program. The county just south of us has it and it has a very high participation, well over a hundred kids. My son shot in that county last year. What I’m trying to get at is that if I can get enough equipment to get started there is significant interest in getting a 4H program started in Tehama County as well. What ever equipment I can come up with will be used in that program as well.

There are a lot of youngsters interested in archery. My wife and I worked a booth teaching kids to shoot at the Glenn county fair this year and in 4 days over 1300 kids stepped up to the line and shot a bow, many of them for the first time.

This isn't for me or my child. I've already bought three extra bows and a couple dozen arrows but my budget isn't going to handle continuing to buy new bows for them.

If you can help, thanks.

Paul
